Dutch Central Bank "Sneak Preview" Screening

The goal of Money For Nothing: Inside the Federal Reserve is to encourage informed, intelligent debate about central banking.

That's why we are thrilled to have been invited to hold a "sneak preview" screening of the film for staff and guests at the Dutch Central Bank on April 15th, followed by a videoconference Q&A with Director Jim Bruce.  With all the turmoil in Europe, we're happy to report that more than 200 people have signed up for the screening, and we're looking forward to an insightful discussion afterwards.

In the meantime, we are in the process of planning our U.S. theatrical release later this year.  We'll keep you posted about the details as soon as they are confirmed!

Exclusive Outtake from Paul Volcker Interview

Since 2010 there has been a great deal of talk from everyone from Ben Bernanke to the economist blogosphere about the virtues of higher inflation and how that might lead to more employment and faster economic growth.

Fed policy from 2002 to 2004 was designed to create higher inflation at a time when the Fed feared a deflationary spiral after the stock market bubble collapse of 2000.

In this exclusive outtake from his interview for Money For Nothing, Paul Volcker explains why he thinks Fed policy then was misguided, outdated, and led (ironically) to the boom and deflationary bust we're still living through.

Is the Fed in danger of making the same mistake all over again?
